Our Process

What makes Town & Country Painting different from other Kansas City painters? You’ll see the difference before, during, and after we paint your home. Most of our work stems from word-of-mouth customer referrals. Our business has grown because of satisfied customers who tell their friends and neighbors about Town & Country Painting.

Phase 1: The Carpentry

Step 1: Pressure wash the house, to ensure clean surfaces for paint. Storm windows and shutters are removed at this time.

Step 2: Repair any damages to the exterior, restoring to like-new conditions.

Step 3: Consult with the homeowner concerning additional repairs that may be needed.

Step 4: Clean up. At the end of each day, we clear the job site of debris and trash. When the job is complete, we perform a more thorough clean-up, including cleaning all trash and debris, magneting for stray nails, and removing all tools and equipment when we leave.

Phase 2: The Painting

Step 1: Prep work

We begin by priming all the bare wood; scraping the peeling paint; caulking windows, trim, and seams; and protecting concrete, shingles, and landscaping prior to painting

Step 2: Brushing

Next, we will brush all the inside corners and seams, as well as the perimeter of the siding around the house. By doing this, we ensure these tough-to-reach surfaces are fully coated before spraying.

Step 3: Spraying

Next, all surfaces are sprayed bi-directionally to ensure sufficient paint coverage from all angles.

Step 4: Trim work

We finish the paint job by brushing the trim color by hand with two coats of paint.

Step 5: Clean up

Before leaving, we will clear the yard of trash and debris, reinstall shutters and storm windows, and check the house for any needed touchups.

Free Estimates: We do business the old-fashioned way! We are paid as work is completed to your complete satisfaction. No contracts and no deposits (except on special order items).

Brushing: We’re the Kansas City Painters who show up with a paintbrush. After painting the corners and seams by hand, we spray a coat bi-directionally, using the highest-quality, 100% latex paints. That is why a Town & Country Painting paint job lasts 3 to 4 years longer than most others.

Painting Pros: Our crews are clean, attentive, and reliable. We are fully insured, experienced professionals who live by our reputation.

Clean-Up: Town & Country Painting takes extra time to protect your car, roof, driveway, decks/patios, and landscaping. Every day we clean up the job site, and we even finish up with vacuums for interior work!
